You know, I think this is the first, deep thinking, philosphical thing I've done. Ever. So please read for my sake and yours.
I heard that an artist's life is always depressing since in your art, anything and everything can be improved. Last night, I looked back on my old artwork from four to five years ago and I see a LOT of improvment, which brings my hopes up, but when I see some awesome works like these...
[link][link][link]... I realize I still have a long way to go. And you know what? I know the main reason why my art is so crappy. I can't do full body positions or hands. And then, to my dismay and frustration, the viewer doesn't see what the artist sees so I need you guys' opinions. Can you all tell me, just in once sentence or two, what I need to work on? Please, I don't know where I'm going and art is basically the only thing I can do. If I can't sell any of this, then I don't know what to do anymore.
OH GAWSH, THAT WAS AN EMO PARAGRAPH.
Anyway, since what I need to work on are full bodies and hands, I'm going to focus on that!
My other goal is to start drawing more realistic. If someone asks me to draw a tree, it's gonna take me a lot of time because I'll actually try to draw a "tree". Most people would just draw a fat stick with clouds on top, which is just the symbol for a tree.
I don't know if you guys care, but this is when my watches come in. (I'm sorry, neooki23 I'm stealing your idea.) Besides leaving a comment saying what I need to improve on (hair, eyes, hands, etc.), can you all leave your b-days there? I want to draw something special for your birthday since well... It's celebrating when an awesome person came into this world!
So you got that? Leave a comment saying what I should work on and your birthday since I'm gonna make you a present!

Wow, this journal went from an emo, thoughtful thing to something happy! HOO... Rah?

Listen, Louis. There's life in these old hands still. Not quite furioso. Moderato? Cantabile, perhaps?
